- Assessment of the current realities of your organization. At one end of the spectrum Peter is very experienced in providing comprehensive reviews of congregations. At the other end of the spectrum Peter over the past 25 years was a part of the last four teams that assessed the well-being of his denomination: The Presbyterian Church in Canada. Of special note, Peter has created a congregational version of the highly respected Organizational Culture Assessment Inventory. A description of the tool and its use can be found here.
- Context setting for your organization. Peter is an avid student of sociological studies both of our society's evolving culture and changing experience of the church, as well as a keen observer of emerging trends within the church in North America. A great grasp of context ensures the relevance of goals.
- Facilitating theological reflection as an important element in envisioning a future direction. The behaviour of the church is shaped substantially by its functional ecclesiology. Clarifying and renewing a group's sense of the nature and calling of the church aids in direction-setting and ensures faithfulness.
- Strategic planning support, whether it is creating a vision, setting strategic direction & priorities or simply naming goals, along with help to create effective plans.
- Motivation is at the heart of people's choice to venture off in new directions. Peter can help leaders strengthen their organization's motivation to pursue change.
